1970's Movado El Primero Automatic Chronograph
A very cool and seldom seen bit of watchmaking history, this a 1970s Movado El Primero, from the early days of Movado-Zenith, with a beautiful baby blue brushed dial, large characteristic sloped and guilloched chronograph registers with both tachometer and pulsations scales, correct signed crown, in a broad and sharp 39mm brushed tonneau steel case, of course powered by the famous high beat automatic Zenith El Primero chronograph caliber.
This reference is a particularly interesting example having only Movado signed exterior components with no Zenith branding save for the interior caseback and movement. Normally you see this signed both Zenith and Movado but this, is a rarer specimen.
For all of this history and distinctive feature set, you’re not paying more than 6K USD.
Oh and yes this is running well and all chronograph functions operating smoothly. We do not have service history.
