A slight twist on the classic, this a super good looking 1960s Rolex Day-Date ref. 1803 in 18K yellow gold with an uncommon non-luminous claw dial and paired on a matching and even less common “Made in Japan” Presidential bracelet with sharp folding blade clasp.
This example is one of those that’s been worn honestly and shows its age beautifully. The case and bracelet exhibit an incredible purple patina in places and the lugs retain symmetrical size and brushing, and its rarely seen claw dial is starting to display light signs of patina as well. This watch can fit as large as a 7.6 inch wrist and as small as 6 inches. It’s made in Japan bracelet exhibits normal and acceptable stretch for its age but it is not without structural integrity.
