1960's Boucheron Reflet by Omega Midsize
“La Vie En Rose”
Goldfinger’s is proud to offer for sale the only Boucheron Reflet by Omega in the United States.
Boucheron may need an introduction to most people outside of France but to those in the know, the Parisian maison has been producing fine watches and jewelry for over 165 years. While they have remained largely in the shadow of their contemporary, Cartier, the house demands just as much reverence and justifiably so as watches like the Reflet for sale here have a nearly 70 year history under its belt. In 1944, Boucheron patented the now universally known strap locking mechanism seen here on this Reflet example from the 1960s.
Each of these Reflet’s from this era were entirely hand made. Cases and dials painstakingly guilloched with “Clous De Paris” as seen here. Also of note, the brand leveraged Omega calibers to power these watches, making them extremely reliable. This is denoted on the caseback of the watch with the small “Omega” insignia.
This particular example is in solid 18K Rose Gold and measures 31 x 20mm. Considered midsize, anyone can wear this watch. The current strap and case measure just over 6.5 inches. It is possible to have straps made to fit other sized wrists and we can point you in the right direction.
The Details
The case remains unpolished and the dial has started to patina nicely. 18K Gold hallmarks on the caseback are crispy and clear. See photos for details.
The Omega cal. 244 is running well.
