1950's Patek Philippe Calatrava ref. 2533 18K YG
One of the coolest iterations of the Calatrava by Patek Philippe, this ref. 2533 from the 1950s, with a screwback “water proof” case, in 18K yellow gold, with broad lugs, reminiscent of the famous reference 565, lasted all of a few minutes before it sold off of our stories this past weekend.
This particular example has a beautiful unpolished case that has matted over the decades with broad bevels in tact across both its case and bezel, as well as a dial that to our eyes, may have never been touched or cleaned.
