1950's Movado Gentleman "Pie Pan" 18K Red Gold *Rare*
This is a fantastic and extremely rare variant of the Movado Gentleman, this iteration with a very unique Favre Paret crafted 34mm 18K red gold case accented by twisted spider lugs, a concave “stadium seating” and brushed bezel, that tapers to the midcase all to showcase a shimmering dodecagonal “pie pan” guilloche dial with applied indices and sub-seconds, all powered by a self-winding Movado bumper movement and period correct and almost as rare ribbed Unrock plated red gold buckle.
This particular Gentleman by Movado is unlike any variant I have seen. Typically examples are normally found in round yellow gold cases and straight lugs or less so, rose gold and seldom seen in manually wound steel cased variants - the one thing all of these have in common is a square island of guilloche at the center of each dial. This example bucks that trend opting instead for a “pie pan” dial, flanked by its concentrically applied indexes. I have never seen one like this until now and I am very happy to offer it for sale.
