1940's Patek Philippe ref. 1450 "Top Hat" in Platinum w/ Extract
A magnificent 1940s Patek Philippe ref. 1450 “Top Hat” in a solid and sharp platinum case with its matching signed platinum AW and PPco buckle, a nearly flawless brushed dial adorned with factory set applied round and baguette cut diamonds, powered by the beautifully finished large rectangular manually wound Patek caliber 990.
The Patek Philippe ref. 1450 is well known but never achieved its well deserved flowers. Couldn’t tell you why. This Markowski case design is iconic and evokes the best of the later art deco period. With less than 40 platinum examples known to ever surface to market, this configuration is the rarest of the case metals from this reference range.
