1940's Jaeger DuoPlan in Steel Gilt Dial

$0.00
Sold

A handsome, svelte and well preserved 1940s Jaeger DuoPlan with less common gilt dial with gorgeous large 12 and 6 Arabic numerals, made for the French Market with a “Fab Suisse” designation at 12 o’clock.

The DuoPlan caliber developed by Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the most famous movements ever produced. Revolutionary with its dual plane architecture, the house still produces the 101 iteration of this famous machine.

This example, I believe unpolished, has a larger 409 cal. housed in a larger, yet still thin, 36mm x 20mm case. The caseback engravings are deep and factory brushing still strong. It’s dial has aged wonderfully over the decades with only small traces of oxidation and wear. The printing is strong and never touched.

This watch will receive a fresh service to whoever purchases, included in the cost.
